This minneapolis native very muchly likes doing hair, and has been doing it in the area for several years, most of which at the fox den salon, which she loves. Sica may seem a little quirky, but she's secretly some kind of super genius that chooses to do hair because taking over the world isn't really her thing. She loves it when clients let her share her ideas with them, and together they can develop styles that are uniquely tailored to them.

Emily is the one of our most involved stylists. She has been at the Fox Den since early 2010. She is a straight-forward lady, not afraid to tell you what you do and do not want to hear. But do not fear, she wants nothing more to make you happy and comfortable! Despite her many colorful regulars, she eagerly awaits new clients to grace her chair! She prides herself in creative cuts & colors, and loves to see her clients smile big, toothy grins.
Hair, to lauren, is a passion. Transforming someone into something they want to be or polishing them up and letting them leave with a giant grin is the best feeling. She always looks at hair just a little bit differently than a "typical" hair stylist, teaching clients about their hair and why she does what she does. She sees hair as a living sculpture and loves putting her own little twist into everything she does. She came to our pack from moxie in st. paul, and is stoked to bring her hair-mazing talent over to this side of the river. Also, ask her about narwhals, she studied them as her minor in hair school.
Margot is a hair stylist and she wears it well. You probably remember her from such salons as salon d'pugh and the one she was at before that, or maybe even the time she trimmed your hair in her living room. Margot has been slingin' shears since 2005. Her skills as a stylist are only surpassed by her cunning wit and winning 'tude.
When not on his bike, you can find this Aveda Institute graduate doing some pretty rad things with hair. With advanced training in cutting and updo techniques, he believes in helping you create a look that works perfectly with your lifestyle. His philosophy has always been that the shape of a cut is paramount, and should require minor styling and product to reveal its full potential. After several years experience at Juut and Jon English salons, he's digging the creative environment and laid-back vibe that he's found at Fox Den.
An amazing hairstylist, dee joined the crew at the fox den salon in 2009. She is quite gifted at updos and also has an impressive eye for cuts and colors. When she's not doing hair at the fox den salon, she works on site doing session work for various local runway shows, photo shoots, and bridal occassions, and also hand crafts intricate hair decorations.

There were over 40 local vendors, several musical acts, food, beverages, and anything you could possibly ask for from our little corner of uptown.
The festivities started at noon in and around the parking lot and building on the northwest corner of 22nd and lyndale ave.

Many ladies and lady-supporters came out september 18th for Babes in Bikeland , an alley cat solely for women. It was comradery, sweaty good fun, granola bars, and beer.
Pretty much the funnest race all summer, and, as it should be, it was another record-setting year!
An innovative show for MN Fashion Week, "Haste Sans Waste" is all about convertible clothing--clothes that transform to fit multiple situations without a major wardrobe change. 9 to 5 pantsuits that turn into evening gowns, pajamas that morph into workout wear, a band girl outfit that transforms into an elegant bathing suit. All this while making the transition with ease. These designers challenge the norms of fabric and form, creating a spectacular garment with multiple personalities. Not only do these clothes look good, they drastically reduce the solid waste usually used in the world of high fashion. This venem entertainment sponsored event will have you in awe when you witness the marriage of couture and consciousness at the honey lounge , in northeast.
Boys in speedos and ultra primped hair. Move over Miss America, there's a whole new mess of queens coming for your crown. SCENE and MN Fashion Week present Twinkle Star, a beauty pageant like no other.
A first of its kind competition celebrating talented twinks and all their fabulosity. Twinkle Star was held at the Honey Lounge, where 8 beautiful boys paraded their well toned behinds in undies provided by the incomparable RVNG design house who put sensuality first. Contestants were be tested in four categories: Style, Q&A, Talent, and Lingerie.
Twinkle Star was hosted by diva du jour Glori Hallelujah, meaning twice the tiarafest! This event was a must-see by far, the talk of MN Fashion week.
We were all thrilled to se the beautiful Mr. Caleb Housley crowned the reigning twink!

The fox den salon strives to support our community both the staff as individuals and the salon as a whole try to make choices that reflect that. We put in our time, money, and talents to benefit causes that are close to our hearts, and partner with other local organizations that have similar goals and commitment to charitable causes.
Some of our past contributions have been towards the bicycling community, women empowerment, GLBT community support, the aliveness project, W.A.M.M., local dance groups and companies, health awareness, local artists through our rotating art on display, and many, many others.
